The main details for the 17th Friendly Film Festival have just been announced, with next year’s celebration of cinema running over four days from: Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th February 2016. Prices range from £10 – £50, to purchase passes/tickets contact the: Theatre by the Lake
Themes for the ever-popular event include: the work of women directors, a recognition of Jazz (with documentaries on such legends as Nina Simone and Ornette Coleman), and movies exploring the relationship between film and memory. A selection of the best award-winning films from other world renowned festivals including: Berlin, Cannes, Venice and Toronto will complete the line-up.
Screenings are usually held at the beautifully positioned Theatre by the Lake (beside Derwentwater), the 100 year old Keswick Alhambra cinema in the centre of Keswick, or the IMAX style auditorium at Rheged Centre on the outskirts of Penrith.

The Wolfpack – a haunting piece of real-life escapism
